“Tuba players never meet girls.” Taking well-meant advice to heart, Mark switched from the tuba to trombone on joining the Navy music program out of Medford High School in Oregon. After four years “service” in a traveling Navy disco band, Mark went to college, earning degrees in Physics, Radiological Health Physics, and eventually a Juris Doctorate. He works at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station as a Senior Staff Health Physicist, practices law, dabbles as a freelance musician, and resides in Oceanside with his college sophomore son, Brett.
